Spring Awakening is a landmark musical inspired by Frank Wedekind's play, with a book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik. Its story follows young people confronting first love, identity, and the pressures of growing up. The Broadway production won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and the score features songs such as “The Song of Purple Summer,” “Totally F***ed,” and “The Bitch of Living.”
The production is scheduled at Studio Seaview in New York through January 3, 2027, with that date marking the final listed performance. The intimate setting is a fitting place for a character-driven musical, where expressive vocals and the story's emotional shifts can take center stage. Specific performers, opening acts, and tour details have not been provided.
For this Theatre and Off-Broadway event, prices currently start around $40, with seats potentially reaching $150 depending on availability and location. Check the event listing at bridgeporttickets.net for current ticket options and pricing.
